Safari News

Is it lunch time yet!

Well it is hard to believe that we have already been back from Safari for a week.  We really had a fabulous time there.  We stayed in 4 separate lodges spending 3 nights at each.  We were literally sleeping with the lions!  Well we did see some sleeping lions!  Although some elephants did take a walk through the lodges in the first place we stayed.  One of our group couldn’t get out of his lodge to come to dinner.  Where can an elephant go?  Well exactly where it wants!!  The food at all 4 places was really good to so we have put on a bit of weight.  Need more locks!  Besides lion and elephant we saw rhino, hippo, buffalo, kudu, impala, giraffe, wildebeest, jackal and that is just a few.  We were surprised at how close we got to some of them.   Along with many different varieties and colour of birds.

Roy of Day’s Afloat had been busy whilst we were away and our kitchen now looks lovely.  All the awful tiles are gone and have been replaced with new shiny worktop.  Paul has laid some new flooring so we are all spick and span.  We stayed at Braunston until Saturday and are now just on the outskirts of Rugby, retracing our steps.  Looking for Sue and Mike on Trisha Helen as Sue is going to sew our new cratch cover!

So bye for now, enjoy the pictures.
